JOB OPENING Aegis Combat Systems Engineer Position Number: JR 24609 Location: Oxnard, CA MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE PURPOSES CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer Duties: CACI has an upcoming requirement for an Aegis Combat Systems Engineer to support an upcoming proposal for the Air Dominance Engineering Support Services Contract for NSWC PHD Air Dominance Department. The scope of the work includes engineering, test and evaluation, interoperability, technical, and specified logistic services to the ISEA mission for the successful implementation of Aegis Open Architecture CG/DDG Modernization. The individual(s) selected will provide engineering, technical, computer programming, materials management, and logistics services necessary to support Aegis Combat System, major weapon systems programs, test and evaluation and post event analysis. Personnel will provide these services at shore sites, land based test facilities, shipyards, and aboard ships in ports and at sea for the U.S., Allied Nations, and Foreign Military Sales customers. Required Qualifications: Must have a current DoD SECRET Security Clearance to qualify The successful candidate must demonstrate at least 5 years experience related to the technical analysis of Navy weapon or combat systems engineering/support. Demonstrated understanding of naval weapon systems operation and support along with increasing responsibilities, including serving as a project team leader responsible for personnel, performance and schedules.Experience and expertise in at least two of the disciplines listed below: 1. Engineering analysis of complex systems. 2. Modern techniques of system integration. 3. System sensors and electronic warfare. 4. Development expertise in modeling and computer based simulations. 5. Analysis and/or implementation of network interoperability. 6. Test and evaluation of naval combat systems. 7. Scenario development, live fire weapons testing at sea or on weapons ranges. 8. Naval weapons firing in combat. 9. Development of test plans for naval systems installation, checkout, certification, or operational testing. Requires Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field or equivalent and five to seven years of related weapons system maintenance experience. Must be skilled with PCs, MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Travel estimated at >35%. Desired Qualifications: Incumbent on current Air Dominance Contract a plus, degreed Engineers with clearance and some experience, former Navy E8/E9 qualified (NEC/PQS) Maintenance Technician, Aegis Tactical Technician qualified as Area/Work Center Supervisor, CSMC or CIC Watch Stander and member of Combat Systems Training Team and/or ships SERT Team, micro electronic, 2M, Fiber Optic repair experience/qualification and experience with BMD a plus.
